# Turn on a built-in Skill

> Turn on cfo.ai's optional built-in Skills for everyone in your workspace: Model audit, Flash report, and Model migration tie-out. Then see what to ask Ari once each one is on.

Turn on a built-in Skill when you want Ari to follow cfo.ai's ready-made process for a common job, such as checking your Model before a board meeting. Most of Ari's built-in Skills are always on. Three are optional and stay off until someone in the workspace turns them on: **Model audit**, **Flash report**, and **Model migration tie-out**.

**1. Open Skills**

Open the account menu, your name or picture at the bottom of the sidebar, choose **Settings**, and select **Skills**.

**2. Find the built-in Skills**

Scroll past **Your skills** to **Built-in skills**.

**3. Turn one on**

Turn on the switch next to the Skill. It applies right away to everyone in the workspace.

Ari cannot turn a built-in Skill on or off for you; use the switch in Settings. Once a Skill is on, you do not need to name it. Ari uses it when your request matches what it is for:

| Skill | Use it to | Ask, for example |
| - | - | - |
| **Model audit** | Check that the formulas, mappings, and statements hold together, that the Model ties to your ledger and bank, and what is still typed in or estimated. Ari writes a short audit Page with live checks and fixes problems when you ask. | "Check my model before the board sees it." |
| **Flash report** | Read the current month before the books close, with actuals, committed spend, and estimates kept apart. Ari builds it in a Scenario of its own. | "Where are we this month?" |
| **Model migration tie-out** | Compare your cfo.ai Model with the Excel workbook you are moving from, and explain every difference. Ari builds a tie-out Page where you decide how to treat each one. | "Does this tie to my workbook?" with the workbook attached |

For more on moving from a spreadsheet, see [Import an existing spreadsheet model](/guides/import-a-spreadsheet-model.md).

## Turn a built-in Skill off

Turn off its switch in **Settings → Skills**. Ari stops using it for everyone in the workspace.

cfo.ai keeps built-in Skills up to date, so you cannot edit them. To make one work differently for you, save your own Skill under a different name; see [Save a workflow as a Skill](/guides/save-a-skill.md).
