A Guide is a saved, interactive walkthrough that spotlights parts of your workspace, one step at a time, with a coachmark of explanatory text at each stop. Use a Guide to onboard a new team member, walk someone through an analysis, or narrate a feature.

Guide modes

  • Tour — a step-by-step feature or onboarding walkthrough. The default mode, and the only one with a “Skip tour” option.
  • Walkthrough — an analysis, like board-meeting prep, without the lighter tour controls.
  • Explain — a single on-demand spotlight rather than a multi-step sequence.

What a step can spotlight

Each step targets one of:
  • A named UI element, like a sidebar toggle.
  • A block on a Page.
  • A single cell, a whole row, or a whole column on a Table Block, addressed by the Variables and Dimension items that identify it — including a Scenario comparison column.
  • None — a centered narration step with no on-screen target, useful for an introduction or a transition between sections.

Create a Guide

Ask Ari to save a new Guide with a title and its steps in order. For a Guide that targets blocks or cells, Ari uses the Scenario you’re currently viewing so the targets and numbers line up when the Guide launches. Give each step a title and body, or richer content combining a heading, a label, and paragraphs.

Run a Guide

Ask Ari to start a saved Guide by name. Once running, ask Ari to move to the next or previous step, jump to a specific step, or dismiss it early.

Update or remove a Guide

Ask Ari to replace a Guide’s title and steps, or delete one you no longer need.
