Ari can carry facts from one conversation into the next, so you do not have to restate how you like tables formatted, which Scenario is your working plan, or what a business term means at your company. This memory is deliberate: Ari saves a fact when you ask it to or when you state a lasting preference, not a transcript of everything you said.

Two scopes

Every saved fact belongs to one of two scopes:
  • Your memory is private to you. Ari reads it in your conversations only. Use it for how you personally like to work, such as “show me quarters, not months” or “I run the sales team.”
  • Workspace memory is shared with everyone in the workspace. Use it for facts about the company that every teammate and every conversation should respect, such as “our fiscal year starts in February” or “Bookings means signed contract value.”
A fact never moves scope on its own. If Ari replaces a fact with a newer version, the new one keeps the scope of the old one.

Tell Ari what to remember

Say it plainly, and say who it is for.
Remember that I prefer ending cash shown in thousands.
For the whole workspace, remember that “Enterprise” means contracts above $50,000 a year.
Ari can save several related facts at once, and it can take a longer document, such as a page of company conventions, and save the facts it finds there. Ask Ari to confirm what it saved.

Ask Ari to forget

Forget that I prefer quarters.
Ari removes the fact from the scope it lives in and confirms. A workspace fact is removed for everyone, so say which scope you mean when the same fact could live in both.

Memory is not chat history

Saved memory is separate from Ari’s ability to look back at earlier conversations. Ari can still reference a past chat when you point it there, and a shared conversation stays readable to the people it was shared with. Memory is the short list of facts Ari applies without being asked.
