The plan cards show each plan’s current price. Starter and Growth come in monthly and annual versions, and include no premium integrations. Free trial
A free trial lasts 14 days and needs a card to start. When it ends, the paid plan starts and charges the card on file, unless you cancel before the end date.Plan chooser
Change next to your plan in Settings → Billing opens the plan chooser, headed Choose your plan, or Change your trial during a trial. With no plan, the button reads Choose a plan.
A card you cannot choose is grayed out, and pointing at its button says why:
Confirm plan change
The dialog Confirm plan change states the cost before anything is charged:
If the cost cannot be worked out, the dialog reads We couldn’t work out what switching to [plan] will cost right now. Please close this and try again. and cannot be confirmed.
Settings → Billing
Current plan
The plan’s name, with a Trial or Canceled badge when one applies, and one line about what happens next:
Buttons: Change or Choose a plan; Keep [plan] while a change or cancellation is booked; and Start paid plan in a trial whose included AI usage is used up.
Payment methods
The card dialogs do not close when you click outside them, so a card you typed is not lost. Close them with Cancel or Esc.

Banners above the workspace
When the workspace locks
A workspace locks when it has no plan, such as after a canceled plan ends, or when a renewal payment still fails after retries. While it is locked, nobody can open its Pages or chat with Ari, and its connected sources stop refreshing.
Each screen offers Log out and the help@cfo.ai address. When the workspace has connected sources, the screen says when they last refreshed: Your connected source was last refreshed on [date]. Your connected source is not being refreshed while this workspace has no plan., or while this workspace’s billing is locked. With several sources, it gives the newest refresh of any of them.
Notices in the chat
When billing stops Ari, its reply ends with a message that starts I had to stop here; every one is listed in Chat controls and messages. The AI usage recovery panel above the message box then names the problem and offers a fix:
After a purchase, the panel reads Usage added. This workspace will update in a moment. and may suggest Turn on auto-reload to avoid running out of AI usage next time. with Enable auto-reload. In a trial whose usage is used up, it offers Start plan & save. Teammates who cannot buy usage see Ask a workspace admin to add usage.
While auto-reload buys usage, the chat shows Adding AI usage to your workspace…, then AI usage added to your workspace.
Before usage runs out, one notice at a time can appear above the message box:
Dismissing a notice hides it until the next threshold or the next billing cycle.
Rules and limits
- Every member is an administrator, so every member can change the plan, buy usage, and change the spend limit and auto-reload. Adding people does not change the price.
- Canceling keeps the plan until the end of the term you paid for, and a trial until its end date. Under the Standard Terms and Conditions, fees already paid are not refunded.
- You can undo a cancellation any time before it takes effect.
- A subscription cannot be paused.
- A workspace cannot be deleted from Settings. See Cancel your subscription or delete your data.
- Adding an integration needs a started trial or an active plan with a free slot. For the messages, see Connection statuses and actions.
- For the trial length and purchase limits with every other limit, see Limits and file types.
