Search your workspace
1
Open search
Press ⌘ K (Ctrl K on Windows and Linux), or select Search at the top of the sidebar. Before you type, the window lists the Pages you opened recently in this browser.
2
Type what you remember
Type part of what you remember:
- A Page title, or a word from a Page’s text
- A table or chart title
- A Variable, such as Revenue
- A Dimension, or one of its items, such as a customer’s name
- A chat’s title
- The name of another workspace
rev finds Revenue, and a small typo is forgiven in longer words.3
Open the result
Use ↑ and ↓ to move and Enter to open, or ⌘ Enter to open it in a new tab. A Variable opens the table that shows it, with its row marked. A block or a passage of text scrolls into view.
Browse the sidebar
The sidebar’s Model section lists the Pages of the Scenario chosen in its Scenario picker. To see the subpages inside a Page, point at the Page and select the arrow that replaces its icon. The Chats section lists your chats, newest activity first. On a Page, select the Page’s name in the Page header to open the same list of Pages with a Search pages field.Ask Ari where something is
Ari can search your Model and reply with links you can open:Where is our P&L?
Which Page shows headcount by department?
Where is the Gross margin Variable used?
List every Variable and Dimension in the Model.Ari answers with links to the Pages it finds, and can tell you which tables and Pages use a Variable. Its list of Variables and Dimensions includes the ones no table shows, which workspace search cannot find. Ari can also find a file from your other chats when you name it or describe it, such as “the board report PDF you made last Tuesday.”
Find a file Ari made
A file Ari makes for you, such as an Excel workbook, a PDF, or an image, is in the chat where Ari made it: a download card under the answer that ends that turn.- Open the chat. Search for its title with ⌘ K, or look in the Chats section.
- Scroll to Ari’s answer and select the file’s card to download it.
If a Page or your Model seems to be gone
Check these in order:- Check the Scenario. The sidebar lists the Pages of the Scenario in its Scenario picker, and a Page built in a Scenario does not appear in Main until that Scenario is merged. Open the picker in the Model section and choose the Scenario where the Page was built, or Main Scenario.
- Check the workspace. If you belong to more than one workspace, you may be in another one. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose the workspace under Workspaces.
- Check the sidebar itself. If the Model section is closed, select Model to open it. If the sidebar is folded to a narrow strip, press ⌘ \ (Ctrl \) or select Expand navigation. On a phone, select Open navigation.
- Check whether you are viewing a past version. If a banner says so, select Back to current.
- Check for a deletion. Deleting a Page is recorded in version history. Open any Page, select Version history in its header, filter to Pages and blocks, and undo the deletion to bring the Page back. See Undo a change or restore an earlier version.
