Take a Snapshot when you need to keep a plan exactly as it was, such as the budget the board approved or the forecast you sent investors. Later changes to the plan and integration syncs stop flowing into the Snapshot, so you can compare against it months from now. You can still edit a Snapshot by hand, so treat it as a copy your team agrees not to change. To understand what a Snapshot keeps and what it does not, see Scenarios, Snapshots, and version history.
Name the Scenario to preserve and, if you like, the Snapshot’s name:
Take a Snapshot of Main called Board-approved budget, October 2026.

Snapshot an earlier version

To keep a Scenario as it was before some later changes, such as last month’s forecast, take the Snapshot from its history:
  1. Open Version history from the clock icon in the Page header.
  2. Point at the entry you want to pin, select its … actions button, and choose Take snapshot here.
  3. Name the Snapshot and select Create snapshot.
Taking a Snapshot needs permission to create Scenarios. It is not offered on a phone, or while you are viewing a Snapshot.
