Brand your workspace when you want cfo.ai, and the Pages you share, to show your company’s look: its name, logo, colors, heading typeface or font, sidebar colors, and corner shape. Everyone who opens the workspace sees the brand, and so does anyone who opens a Page you share. The fastest way to get one is to point Ari at your company’s website.
Name your website:
Make this workspace look like yourfirm.com.
Ari reads the site’s home page and stylesheets. It picks the accent color, the heading typeface, the corner shape, and the logo, then saves the brand. When the site’s headings use a Google Fonts family that has Latin letters, Ari imports that font by name; otherwise it picks the nearest typeface cfo.ai offers, tells you which font the site uses, and offers to use your own font file. It chooses colors for the mode the site does not show, so the brand works in both light and dark mode. Your open app switches to the brand at once.Ari then lists what it read from the site and what it chose. cfo.ai saves colors as given and refuses a brand whose colors would be hard to read together, naming each pair, so when a site’s colors fall short Ari picks another shade and tells you which color it changed and why. If Ari cannot reach the site, it asks you for the colors and a logo file. You can also give Ari the brand directly: attach your logo and say which colors and typeface to use. A logo must be a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image of 1 MB or less and at most 2,000 pixels wide or tall. If your site’s logo is an SVG file, Ari converts it to PNG or asks you for an image file. To use your own font, attach a WOFF2 file and confirm in the chat that your license lets cfo.ai host it and show it to everyone who opens your Pages; Ari saves a font file only after that confirmation. In Settings → General → Brand, typing your site in Website address and selecting Build from a website starts the same chat.

What a brand contains

Who sees the brand

Everyone who opens the workspace sees the brand. Pages, tables, charts, and Canvas blocks all take its look with no change to any of them. The sidebar shows your logo, or your name’s first letter when there is no logo, and a Powered by cfo.ai line. The browser tab names your brand in place of cfo.ai and shows your logo, or the first letter of your name when the logo is more than twice as wide as it is tall, or the reverse. Each person still chooses light, dark, or automatic mode for themselves. People who open a shared Page see it too. A reader who follows a share link sees the Page in your brand, under a strip with your logo, your name, and Powered by cfo.ai. The link’s preview card in chat and social apps, the link’s own page, and its password prompt name cfo.ai, not your brand, until an administrator turns on Show the brand on link previews in the Brand section; with it on, they show your brand with Powered by cfo.ai. See Sharing and access. The brand also reaches what people receive from the workspace. Invitation emails come from your brand’s name via cfo.ai, and emails Ari sends carry your name or logo; see Invite or remove teammates. A spreadsheet downloaded from a Page uses your text and chart colors; see Export a Page to Excel. Each of these says Powered by cfo.ai. Documents Ari makes for you, such as a PDF report or a deck, use your brand’s colors, heading typeface, and logo. A brand font imported from Google Fonts is embedded in them; an uploaded font is not, because its license covers your Pages only. See Get a PDF report or slide deck. Any administrator can set or change the brand, and everyone in a workspace is an administrator.

Change, copy, or remove the brand

To change the brand, ask Ari, such as “Use a darker accent color”, or select Edit in Settings → General → Brand. A change replaces the brand as a whole, and everyone sees it at once. To go back to the earlier brand, ask Ari in the same chat to put it back; Ari keeps the brand it replaced. A brand saved before cfo.ai checked color pairs keeps working as it is, but its next save can be refused until you darken the accent. To use the brand in your other workspaces, select Copy to other workspaces in the Brand section, tick the workspaces, and select the copy button. Or ask Ari, in the other workspace, to copy the brand from this one. Each copy is separate: a later change to one workspace’s brand leaves the others as they are. To remove the brand, select Remove brand and confirm, or ask Ari to remove it. Everyone sees their own theme again, and shared Pages lose your name and logo. Copies in other workspaces stay.

A brand and your personal theme

A brand belongs to the workspace and everyone sees it. A theme belongs to you and changes only what you see. In a workspace with a brand, the brand replaces your theme, and Settings → General → Appearance says which brand the workspace uses. Your own theme still applies in your workspaces that have no brand. To set your theme, see Change your theme, sounds, and notifications. Every label and message in the Brand section is listed in Settings.
